Job summary

West Arnhem Regional Council seeks a Director Corporate Services to lead finance, ICT, procurement, grants and administration, reporting to the CEO. You will drive financial governance, ensure robust systems, and support sustainable outcomes across five communities.

Applicants should hold tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance with CA/CPA credentials and have extensive senior leadership experience in corporate services or local government.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Accounting, Business or a related field with substantial senior financial leadership experience and CA/CPA credentials.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling representation of Council in diverse forums.
• Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and governance frameworks is essential.
• Experience leading finance, governance, ICT, procurement, grants and administration teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Council's corporate services portfolio including finance, ICT, procurement, grants and administration.
• Provide strategic advice to the CEO, senior executives and Councillors.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure governance, systems and resources support objectives.
