Job summary

West Arnhem Regional Council seeks an experienced senior leader to steer its corporate services, including finance, ICT, procurement, grants and administration.Reporting to the CEO, you will lead governance, risk, and compliance while guiding staff and stakeholders across five communities in the Top End.

You will bring CA/CPA credentials and a degree in accounting or business, with a strong track record in financial leadership within local government and remote Indigenous communities.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in corporate services, finance or governance.
• Experience advising executives and councillors in local government.
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and legislative frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate services portfolio: finance, ICT, procurement, grants and administration.
• Provide strategic advice to CEO and Executive Team.
• Drive governance, risk management and continuous improvement across Council.
