Job summary

Morgan Stanley Australia is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR coverage for the Infrastructure Divisions and to support the Senior HR Business Partner for the Institutional Securities Division. You will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, guiding people priorities, talent initiatives, and organizational design.

This director-level role requires a university degree and at least six years of HRBP experience, preferably in financial services.

Qualifications

• University degree and at least 6 years' relevant HRBP experience, ideally in financial services.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Analytical skills translating workforce data into business recommendations.
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience with Australian employment legislation (Fair Work Act/NES).
• Continuous improvement mindset, leveraging technology and AI to enhance people outcomes.
• Experience with Workday is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on workforce, talent and organisational priorities.
• Develop and execute people strategies to support performance, growth and effectiveness.
• Lead talent, performance, succession, promotion, and compensation processes using analytics.
• Coach leaders on complex employee relations, change and risk mitigation.
• Drive leadership development in partnership with regional Centers of Excellence.
• Partner on workforce planning, design, hiring strategy, and internal mobility.
• Use people data and market insights to identify trends and inform strategic planning.
• Collaborate with Compensation, Legal, Compliance, ER and Recruitment to deliver integrated solutions.
• Champion inclusive, high-performance culture and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
• Lead strategic HR projects to enhance employee experience and organizational capability.
