Job summary

Infrastructure Canberra seeks a highly organised Director, Project Governance and Administration to lead governance and admin functions for the Northside Hospital Project. You will provide strategic oversight of governance processes, coordinate reporting and documentation, support decision-making, and help ensure successful delivery of the new hospital.

Temporary position from 9 November 2026 to 7 December 2026 with potential extension up to 12 months; ABW workplace with flexible options

Qualifications

• Experience in governance and administration for large projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of records management systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of project document management systems is advantageous.
• Tertiary qualifications in management, project management or public policy are beneficial.

Full-time Temporary

Details: Infrastructure Canberra is seeking a highly organised and motivated leader to join the Northside Hospital Project team as Director, Project Governance and Administration. This role is responsible for leading project governance and administration functions for one of the ACT's largest and most significant infrastructure projects. You will provide strategic oversight of governance processes, coordinate high-quality reporting and documentation, support effective decision-making, and help ensure the successful delivery of the new Northside Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a project that will enhance healthcare services for the Canberra community for generations to come.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

• A good working knowledge of Records Management system such as Objective will be an advantage.
• A good working knowledge of Project Document Management system such as Aconex will be an advantage.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in Management, Project Management or Public Policy will be an advantage.

Note: This is a temporary position available from 9 November 2026 to7 December 2026 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

This position is located in a workplace designated for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.

Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.

Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
