Job summary

Canberra Health Services (CHS) is seeking a proactive Directorate Liaison Officer to strengthen communication between the Directorate and the Minister’s Office. You will support executives and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of priorities with discretion and accuracy.

Based in the ACT Legislative Assembly area, the role focuses on high-profile governance activities, Ministerial correspondence, and cross-government initiatives with occasional after-hours work.

As the Directorate Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in supporting effective communication and coordination between the Directorate and the Minister's Office. Working closely with senior executives, Ministerial staff and stakeholders across government, you will help manage the flow of information, provide advice on government processes, and ensure important priorities are delivered within tight timeframes.

You will coordinate and support a range of high-profile activities, including Cabinet and Legislative Assembly business, Ministerial correspondence and briefings, constituent matters, meetings and events, and Whole of Government initiatives. Success in this role will require sound judgement, discretion, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused and adaptable, with the confidence to work across a range of stakeholders and navigate complex issues in a dynamic environment. Occasional after-hours work will be required to meet operational priorities. Subject to approval, the position also attracts a Directorate Liaison Officer Allowance in accordance with applicable employment provisions.
