Job summary

Queensland Government seeks a Direct Services Team Leader to guide teams in improving service delivery for people with intellectual disabilities, while ensuring adherence to legislative requirements and departmental policies.

You will monitor and review service delivery systems, coach staff with constructive feedback, and escalate concerns as needed. The role promotes inclusive planning, governance participation, and ongoing quality improvement across services.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging teams to identify and implement strategies to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery for people with an intellectual disability.
• Keep self and teams informed about and ensure the application of relevant legislative requirements, departmental policies and service delivery practices.
• Plan for and implement regular monitoring and review of systems and processes utilised by support staff within the service delivery environment.
• Articulate performance standards when providing coaching and mentoring to direct support staff by providing constructive and incisive feedback about the work practices of individuals.
• Inform staff on service delivery and departmental requirements and escalate matters of concern.
• Actively contribute and encourage others to participate in support planning for people with a disability who receive services.
• Recognising and contributing to the AS&RS Governance Structure, supporting quality outcomes for participants through the delivery of quality services and continuous improvement.
• Applications to remain current for 12 months.
