Job summary

Mecwacare in Victoria seeks a Direct Care Worker to support people across Rosebud, Mornington and Hastings in their own homes. You’ll provide personal care, domestic support, transport, and companionship to help clients stay independent and connected to their community.

Ideal applicants hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Home and Community Care (or are a nursing student), with First Aid/CPR, a Victorian Driver’s Licence and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, respectful and reliable.
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Home and Community Care, or a first-year Bachelor of Nursing student.
• Current First Aid and CPR training.
• Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence, comprehensive car insurance and reliable transport.
• Available at least four days per week during business hours, Monday to Friday.
• Flexible and able to meet clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

• In-home care including personal care, domestic cleaning and meal preparation.
• Assist clients with community access and transport to appointments.
• Work close to home with clients across Rosebud, Mornington and Hastings.
• Casual position with flexible start and finish times.
• Monday, Wednesday and Friday availability required.
