Job summary

City of Whittlesea is seeking a Unit Manager Direct Care to lead a large team delivering home support services under the Aged Care Act. The role focuses on safe, high-quality care through effective leadership and service coordination in a community setting.

You will develop policies, drive continuous improvement, and lead staff through reform and operational changes to achieve sustainable outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in Community Aged Care and complex service delivery environments.
• Strong leadership and workforce management skills.
• Knowledge of aged care reforms and service improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large Direct Care team and Contractors to provide safe, high-quality home support services.
• Coordinate incident responses, feedback, missed services and performance data to drive improvement.
• Develop, implement and review operational policies and work instructions to ensure sustainability and budget accountability.
