Job summary

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, documenting care in records, and supporting residents in social activities.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Aged Care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Minimum 6 months experience supporting personal care in aged care or health setting.
• Ability to follow care plans and take direction from Registered Nurses.
• Commitment to resident privacy, confidentiality and safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team.
• Must have National Criminal Record Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, hydration, mobility and transfers.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, report changes and document observations in care plans.
• Accurately document care and resident responses in clinical records.
• Assist with basic clinical tasks and medication support under supervision of RN.
• Use care equipment safely and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Support residents to participate in activities and outings.
