Job summary

Evergreen Life Care in West Gosford is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. You will lead and coordinate urgent and routine care, supervise staff, administer medications, and ensure high-quality, person-centered care for residents.

The role requires current AHPRA Division 1 registration, at least 1 year of RN experience, and a commitment to privacy and safe work practices within a not-for-profit aged care setting.

Qualifications

• Current CPR or Senior First Aid Certificate.
• National Criminal Record Check completed or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Care Service Employees, allocate duties and coach staff.
• Deliver and oversee clinical care including wound management and medication administration.
• Monitor and document resident outcomes; complete progress notes and incident reports.
• Maintain equipment readiness and comply with governance, WHS, infection control, and documentation.
• Facilitate handover between shifts to ensure continuity of care.
• Collect and report clinical data for quality improvement, regulatory compliance and funding.

Job description

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care that supports residents' independence, dignity and well-being, in line with Evergreen's mission and HEART values.

Key responsibilities

Lead and coordinate clinical care activities during the shift, including responding to deterioration, incidents, and emerging clinical priorities.

Ensure residents' personal care and clinical needs are met through ongoing monitoring, assessments, and timely interventions.

Supervise and support Care Service Employees, including allocating duties, providing coaching, and ensuring an appropriate skill mix to meet resident needs.

Deliver and oversee clinical care, including wound management, medication administration, and management medications in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.

Monitor, document, and evaluate resident outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of progress notes, assessments, and incident reports.

Maintain equipment readiness and support compliance with clinical governance, WHS requirements, infection prevention and control standards, and documentation requirements.

Facilitate effective communication and handover between shifts to ensure continuity and quality of resident care.

Support the collection, maintenance, and reporting of clinical data and documentation required for quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and funding purposes.

About you

At least 1 years' experience as an RN

Hold a current registration with AHPRA (Division 1)

Hold a current National Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one)

Willingness to participate in a pre-employment medical assessment.

Hold a current CPR or Senior First Aid Certificate

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and team members.

Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse team

A commitment to resident privacy, confidentiality, and safe work practices.
