Job summary

Keleah's Early Learning & Development, Terrigal NSW, is seeking a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join as Room Leader in a small, supportive team. This permanent full-time role offers 38 hours per week and a salary of $79,500 per annum plus super.

You will lead and support educators, plan play-based experiences, and contribute to observations, documentation, and programming while upholding EYLF and NQF standards and child-safety practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Experience in an early childhood education and care setting.
• Experience or demonstrated capability in leading and supporting a team.
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.
• Understanding of Child Safe Standards and child protection responsibilities.
• Current Working with Children Check and child protection training.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing child safety and child protection training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support educators within the room.
• Build warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families.
• Plan and implement meaningful, play-based learning experiences.
• Support children's learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
• Contribute to observations, documentation and programming.
• Support EYLF and National Quality Framework implementation.
• Maintain high standards of supervision, health, safety and wellbeing.
• Uphold child safety, child protection responsibilities and standards.
• Collaborate with Centre Director and wider team for service improvement.
