Job summary

Keleah's Early Learning & Development, Terrigal NSW, is seeking a Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join as Room Leader in a small, supportive team. This permanent full-time role offers 38 hours per week and a salary of $79,500 per annum plus super.

You will lead and support educators, plan play-based experiences, and contribute to observations, documentation, and programming while upholding EYLF and NQF standards and child-safety practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Experience in an early childhood education and care setting.
• Experience or demonstrated capability in leading and supporting a team.
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework.
• Understanding of Child Safe Standards and child protection responsibilities.
• Current Working with Children Check and child protection training.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing child safety and child protection training.

Keleah's Early Learning is seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our small, supportive team in a full-time Room Leader position.

We are a boutique 23-place early learning service in Terrigal. Our approach is relationship-focused, play-based and centred around creating a calm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, secure and confident to learn.

Child safety and child protection are at the heart of our practice. We are committed to creating a strong child-safe culture where the safety, wellbeing and rights of children are paramount.

About the role

• Lead and support educators within the room
• Build warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families
• Plan and implement meaningful, play-based learning experiences
• Support children's individual learning, development and emotional wellbeing
• Contribute to observations, documentation and educational programming
• Support the implementation of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
• Maintain high standards of supervision, health, safety and wellbeing
• Understand and uphold child protection and mandatory reporting responsibilities
• Actively support and embed the Child Safe Standards in everyday practice
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and uphold the rights of every child
• Work collaboratively with the Centre Director, Educational Leader and wider team
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service

About you

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
• Experience working within an early childhood education and care setting
• Experience or demonstrated capability in leading and supporting a team
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
• Strong understanding of the Child Safe Standards, child-safe practices and child protection responsibilities
• Current recognised child protection training/certification appropriate to NSW early childhood education and care
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
• Willingness to undertake ongoing child safety and child protection training
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check upon request
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
