Job summary

JD Sports in Sydney seeks a Support Engineer - Digital to sustain and improve our Shopify Plus ecosystem across APAC. You will bridge engineering, operations and customer experience to keep platforms reliable and fast.

You will handle incident resolution, root-causes, releases, and continuous improvements while collaborating with Product, Engineering and Digital Operations. This role offers exposure to modern tech and a vibrant retail environment with access to staff benefits and central CBD

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
Experience supporting Shopify Plus or similar eCommerce platforms.
Experience in production support environments with high service availability requirements.
Exposure to retail, eCommerce or omnichannel businesses will be highly regarded.
Experience working across distributed teams and multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 support across JD APAC's digital platforms including Shopify Plus, mobile applications, kiosks and integrations.
Monitor service health and customer journeys, proactively identifying issues before they impact customers.
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and defects.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to reduce recurring issues.
Participate in planned support and on-call rotations during peak trading and major business events.
