Job summary

ACT is seeking a Creative Digital Service Design Officer to join our team. Working under limited direction, you will research user needs to design engaging, user-centred digital experiences using Microsoft 365 products, including SharePoint, and publish content to support schools and teachers in their day-to-day work.

This is a temporary six-month position with the possibility of permanency, offering flexible options including hybrid working across the ACT.

Qualifications

• Experience designing user-centered digital services.
• Ability to work with Microsoft 365 products, including SharePoint.
• Experience collaborating with schools and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Research and assess user needs to design engaging digital experiences using Microsoft 365 products including SharePoint.
• Develop and publish collaboration site content to promote Directorate services and support schools and teachers.
• Assess software requests from schools and Education Support Office staff for ACT SchoolsNET environment and prepare briefs for Executive Branch Manager approval.
• Provide technical support, training and guidance to teachers and school staff, including school visits as required.
• Collaborate with ICT security officers, vendors and partners to support packaging, deployment and ongoing support of Teaching and Learning systems.
• Deliver responsive, high-quality services and undertake other duties appropriate to the classification level and priorities of the Branch.
