Job summary

Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission in Australia seeks a Portfolio Manager within the Digital Delivery Team to coordinate digital initiatives and assure governance. You will monitor progress, consolidate data across initiatives and track benefits and financial performance to enable informed senior leadership decisions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with PMO/govt reporting, and proficiency in Power BI and Excel.

Qualifications

Understand the Commission’s objectives and align portfolio coordination accordingly.
Delivers accurate, timely, high-quality portfolio reporting.
Builds collaborative relationships across governance, risk, compliance, and delivery teams.
Translates complex portfolio data into executive summaries for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in portfolio coordination, PMO, governance, or related roles.
Strong analytical capability including advanced Excel skills.
Experience preparing executive reporting and dashboards (Power BI desirable).
Understanding of public sector governance and digital delivery frameworks.
Financial literacy including variance analysis and forecasting support.
Knowledge of benefits realisation principles.

Responsibilities

Monitor initiative progression through stage gates and governance.
Consolidate financial, delivery, risk, and performance data across initiatives.
Maintain the portfolio-level benefits register and budgets.
Identify resource contention and dependencies; support reprioritisation discussions.
Provide analytical input and portfolio briefs for senior leadership.
Support audit readiness and evidence collation.
Promote accountability, transparency and continuous improvement in delivery teams.
