Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with maintenance and repair of large mining equipment.
• Trade certification in Heavy Plant or Road Transport is required.
• Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to pass routine drug and alcohol testing.
• Willingness to obtain an Order 45 mine medical.
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines, fuel and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance on mining equipment.
• Carry out servicing and repairs on large mining machinery.
• Maintain detailed service records and document work performed.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations at all times.

Berryman Diesel Maintenance is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Gunnedah, NSW. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing small to large earthmoving and mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients. The casual nature of this position offers flexibility whilst providing meaningful work in a skilled trade environment.

What you\'ll be doing

• Performing routine maintenance
• Carry out servicing and repairs on large mining equipment
• Maintaining detailed service records and documenting all work completed on vehicles and equipment
• Adhering to workplace health and safety regulations and best practices at all times
• Liaising with customers to discuss mechanical issues and provide clear explanations of required repairs

What we\'re looking for

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a solid track record in maintenance and repair of large scale mining equipment
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, hydraulic systems and related mechanical components
• Competency with diagnostic tools and equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Valid \'driver\'s licence and reliable transport
