Job summary

Skillset is seeking a trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our client, a leading heavy vehicle maintenance and fleet services provider based in Dubbo.

You'll work across a diverse range of equipment and fleets, diagnosing faults and delivering quality workmanship with safety and reliability as a priority. This permanent full-time role offers excellent earning potential, overtime, and long-term stability.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and transport equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• A current Driver Licence.
• HR or HC Licence (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately.
• Work collaboratively with the workshop team to keep vehicles operating safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.

Skillset is seeking a trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our client, a leading heavy vehicle maintenance and fleet services provider based in Dubbo.

Forget working on the same trucks every day. This role offers plenty of variety, with exposure to a diverse range of customer fleets including late-model Kenworth, Volvo and Mack prime movers, as well as specialised fuel and bulk liquid tankers. You'll put your diagnostic and mechanical skills to work across a wide range of equipment while helping keep some of the region's most critical transport assets roadworthy, compliant and operating at their best.

About You

You're a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic who enjoys diagnosing faults, solving mechanical problems and delivering quality workmanship. You take pride in your trade, work well within a team and are committed to safety and reliability.
