Job summary

Berryman Diesel Maintenance in Gunnedah, NSW is seeking expressions of interest for Diesel Mechanics to service and repair heavy mining equipment. The role emphasizes on-site maintenance, detailed record-keeping, and safety compliance within a casual work arrangement.

The ideal candidate has proven diesel mechanics experience, relevant trade certification, and a valid licence. You will work both independently and as part of a team, with opportunities to develop specialised skills in large-scale

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with maintenance and repair of large mining equipment.
Trade certification in Heavy Plant or Road Transport is required.
Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
Ability to pass routine drug and alcohol testing.
Willingness to obtain an Order 45 mine medical.
Sound knowledge of diesel engines, fuel and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

Performing routine maintenance on mining equipment.
Carry out servicing and repairs on large mining machinery.
Maintain detailed service records and document work performed.
Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
Liaise with customers to discuss mechanical issues and explain required repairs.
