Job summary

Gravity Resources is seeking an experienced Rig Mechanic to join its well servicing team supporting modern truck-mounted service rigs across the Australian onshore oil & gas sector. Based from Wellcamp, Toowoomba, you will provide mechanical maintenance support across the rig fleet, with regular travel to field locations as required.

A company vehicle will be provided for travel from Wellcamp, with accommodation and meals covered while working away.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified or equivalent in diesel fitting or related trade.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with drilling or well servicing rigs.
• Strong hydraulic maintenance experience.
• Experience with heavy mobile plant and equipment.
• Electrical/instrumentation knowledge advantageous.
• PLC experience highly regarded.
• Confined Space, Working at Heights and Breathing Apparatus tickets desirable.
• Reliable, proactive and safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical support and repairs across the well servicing fleet
• Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance on rigs, vehicles and plant
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs and inspection schedules
• Prioritise and manage maintenance work orders
• Provide technical support to field crews and assist with troubleshooting
• Travel to operational sites as required
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and operating procedures
