FinXL IT Professional Services is seeking an experienced DevOps/Release Support Engineer to back a major data centre migration for an iconic Enterprise Banking organisation. You will drive DEV/UAT/IND environment builds, perform releases, and ensure readiness across environments, while rapidly troubleshooting defects and supporting cutover to production.

FinXL is seeking an experienced DevOps / Release Support Engineer to join our Cloud & Infrastructure consulting practice. In this engagement, you will be deployed with an iconic Enterprise Banking organisation to support a major, high-profile project migrating software and applications to two new data centres. Operating at the crucial intersection of development, infrastructure, integration, and testing, your primary scope of work involves driving environment stability and release readiness. You will act as the technical anchor during critical testing phases, rapidly investigating complex application and infrastructure defects, managing DEV/UAT environment builds, and proactively clearing technical roadblocks to ensure a successful, delay-free transition into production.

Responsibilities

• Deliver DEV, UAT-B, and IND environment builds, deployments, and ongoing health monitoring.
• Support production readiness activities, cutover planning, and deployment preparation.
• Manage, coordinate, and remediate testing defects across multiple project workstreams.
• Support defect triage and execution during Target State, Penetration, and Transient State testing.
• Perform operating system (RHEL) and application patching alongside technical implementation work.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical blockers under aggressive delivery schedules.
• Update Operational Support Documentation to ensure a seamless transition into BAU operational support.

Key Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience building, configuring, and supporting test environments (DEV, UAT, IND).
• Proven background investigating and triaging application, infrastructure, and integration defects.
• Hands-on technical experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and application patching.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation, deployment workflows, and configuration management tooling.
• Strong understanding of release management practices across high-availability, mission-critical systems.
• Exceptional root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting capabilities within enterprise environments.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and technical documentation skills.
