Job summary

Trademax Global Markets in Sydney seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment solutions for FX and CFD trading operations. You will work closely with software engineering and trading technology teams to automate software delivery, manage cloud environments and ensure security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (with a major in computing) or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in DevOps engineering or a similar role, including CI/CD, cloud automation and system deployment.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, operating systems, network infrastructure and system security.
• Experience in infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cloud security practices, access management, vulnerability management and automated security controls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in financial services or trading technology environments will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and trading teams to design, build and deploy cloud-based trading applications.
• Design, build and improve CI/CD pipelines for trading software.
• Configure and deploy cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling.
• Develop monitoring, logging, alerting and observability for trading infrastructure.
• Implement security controls across the delivery pipeline and cloud environments.
• Provide technical support for builds, integration and environment issues.
• Safeguard stability, performance and security by analyzing incidents and root causes.
• Maintain documentation and runbooks, and recommend tooling upgrades.
