Job summary

Australian Securities Exchange in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Platform Engineer to automate cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines. You will design IaC with Terraform, implement CI/CD using GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins, and manage container workloads with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS.

You’ll champion observability with OpenTelemetry, integrate security into pipelines, and help establish reusable templates and standards across engineering teams. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevOps, cloud or platform engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
• Build reusable tools and workflows that eliminate manual processes and accelerate delivery.
• Design, develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• Engineer and automate AWS cloud infrastructure using repeatable patterns.
• Build, implement and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps or similar tooling.
• Manage source code and branching strategies with Git.
• Build and deploy containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Engineer observability into apps and cloud infra with metrics, logs and traces.
• Create OpenTelemetry instrumentation patterns and ensure secure deployment pipelines.
• Embed automated testing, quality gates, artifact management and deployment controls.
• Integrate security controls, secrets management and policy checks into cloud and CI/CD workflows.
• Create reusable templates and automation frameworks to improve productivity.
• Develop technical docs and engineering standards for DevOps and observability.
