Job summary

TasPorts is seeking a Project Manager for a full-time, fixed-term 12-month contract based in Devonport, Tasmania. You will lead day-to-day activities, manage scope, schedule, cost, risk and stakeholders, ensuring safe and timely delivery during a period of operational change.

The role requires at least 5 years in project management within an industrial/ports environment, and familiarity with Australian Standards, MSIC requirements, and contract administration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in project management and contract administration in an industrial, commercial, civil or ports environment.
  • Experience with designs and analysis using relevant Australian Standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical, problem solving, self-management and time management abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, drawing review, estimating and programming of infrastructure projects.
  • Develop contract documentation and technical specifications for maintenance and capital projects.
  • Manage tender processes in accordance with TasPorts policies and standards.
  • Oversee projects from concept to completion within budget and schedule.
  • Provide specialist technical advice, including design reviews and cost schedules.
