Kobe Creations in Melbourne seeks a hands-on Developer Programmer for web eCommerce projects and integrations. You will develop front-end and back-end functionality, build and consume RESTful APIs, and ensure reliable system integrations across ERP, CRM and payment platforms.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in CS/IT and 3+ years in PHP with Laravel, plus experience in HTML5/CSS3, MySQL and eCommerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify or WordPress/WooCommerce.

Developer Programmer – Web eCommerce & Integrations

Kobe Creations is seeking an experienced Developer Programmer to join our Melbourne team. This is a hands-on full-stack role working across eCommerce websites, B2B portals, custom web applications, APIs and business system integrations. You will be involved across the full development lifecycle – understanding business requirements, helping shape the technical approach, developing front-end and back-end functionality, testing, deployment, troubleshooting and ongoing improvement. The role suits a developer who enjoys solving real business problems rather than simply building brochure websites.

Key responsibilities

Develop, test, deploy and maintain web applications, eCommerce solutions and custom software.

Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end application functionality.

Write clean, maintainable and scalable code in line with technical and business requirements.

Build reusable application components and contribute to solution design and technical architecture.

Develop, consume and maintain RESTful APIs, webhooks and third-party integrations.

Integrate web applications with eCommerce platforms and external business systems such as ERP, CRM, POS, inventory, warehouse, payment and freight systems.

Work with eCommerce platforms including BigCommerce, Shopify and WordPress / WooCommerce.

Design, manage and optimise relational database structures for performance and data integrity.

Test, debug and troubleshoot applications, integrations and production issues.

Support application deployment across development, staging and production environments.

About you

A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in software development, web development, full-stack development or a closely related role.

Strong commercial experience with PHP and a PHP framework such as Laravel.

Strong HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web development skills.

Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases.

Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and third-party systems.

Experience with eCommerce or content management platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, WordPress / WooCommerce or similar.

Understanding of software testing, debugging, deployment and production support processes.

Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
