The role involves analysing business and technical requirements, developing and modifying application code, maintaining web and mobile applications, integrating APIs and third-party services, testing software functionality and resolving technical issues.

Design, develop and update software applications using suitable programming languages and development tools.

Build and maintain websites, web applications, mobile applications and customised software solutions. Create and improve application features to ensure they work effectively across different devices and operating environments. Develop and maintain databases, APIs and connections between software systems and third-party services.

Carry out software testing to identify errors, bugs and performance problems and make the necessary corrections. Maintain existing software applications by updating code and introducing improvements based on changing business requirements. Follow appropriate software development, security, data protection and version control practices when developing applications.

Prepare technical documentation, system specifications, development records and other documents required for software maintenance. Work with clients, project managers, designers and other developers to understand requirements and coordinate software development activities. Provide technical assistance after software deployment and help resolve application and system‑related issues.

Monitor software performance and make improvements to enhance reliability, functionality and user experience. Keep development tools, libraries and software components updated where required. Assist with software projects involving automation, artificial intelligence and cloud‑based technologies where applicable.

Organise assigned development tasks and complete programming activities within required project timelines. Follow company procedures, information security requirements and workplace policies while carrying out software development activities Qualification & experience Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline. At least 3 years of experience as a software development, programming, application development or a closely related field.

Demonstrated knowledge of software development, programming languages, application frameworks, databases, APIs and system integration. Ability to analyze technical requirements, develop application code, test software and troubleshoot programming issues. Ability to develop and maintain websites, web applications, mobile applications and customized software solutions.

Knowledge of software testing, debugging, version control, system maintenance and secure software development practices. Ability to understand and interpret business requirements, technical specifications and system designs and convert them into practical software solutions. Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
