Job summary

Gold Coast Health is seeking a Developer to join the Digital Health and Innovation division on a temporary full-time basis for 12 months with potential extension. You will provide advice and support for localised, modern web applications and deploy code on cloud platforms.

The role requires experience in a full stack development or similar role, with knowledge of the software development lifecycle and privacy legislation in health care.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT or CS.
• Experience in a full stack developer role.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of information privacy legislation in health care.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to stakeholders in development, technical support and operation of web applications.
• Operate software and hardware; write, modify, deploy and maintain code on cloud platforms.

• Manage change/release processes for software deployment in line with policies.

An opportunity has become available for a Developer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide advice and support to stakeholders in the development, technical support and operation of localised, modern and user focused web applications
• Operate computer software and hardware; write, modify, deploy and maintain programming code on cloud platforms
• Provide ongoing advice, support and maintenance of software and web application
• Undertake effective change/release management process for software deployment in line with Information Management and Information Communication and Technology policies

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

While not mandatory, the following will be highly regarded:

• A tertiary qualification in an information technology or computer science discipline or a related field.
• Experience in a full stack developer or similar role.
• A sound working knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) is highly desirable for this role.
• A sound knowledge of information privacy and related legislation in a health care context.
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
