An opportunity has become available for a Senior Information Communication Technology Support Specialist to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Support and mentor the Technology Operations team in accordance with the approved Information Technology Service Management
• Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other technical specialists, application specialists and end user
• Undertake risk and issues identification, assessment and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed and escalated as appropriate
• Identify, coordinate, develop and implement strategies and work practices which will improve the workflow, efficiency and effectiveness of the team

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Demonstrated ability in following, developing and promoting ITIL service management processes primarily incident/problem/test/change and configuration management. (SFIA: USUP Level 4, PBMG Level 4, CHMG Level 4, CFMG Level 3, TEST Level 4.)
• Provide high level of technical expertise to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation. (SFIA: ITOP Level 4, TECH Level 5)
• Proven experience in providing expertise and support on use of methods and tools (3rd level of support) within the technology sphere (SFIA ARCH 5, METL5, DESN 5)
• Ability to participate in on-call arrangements and out of standard working hours is a requirement for this position. Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply.
• While not mandatory, a relevant Information Technology qualification would be well regarded.
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
