Job summary

Brooks Hire, a proud Australian family‑owned business, is opening a brand‑new Broken Hill branch and seeks a reliable Detailer/Trades Assistant. You will detail and present earthmoving equipment, assist tradespeople, and help establish the new site to a high standard.

Requirements include a valid licence, willingness to work weekends, and a hands‑on approach with tools. Training and a supportive team environment are offered as part of expanding nationwide.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's Licence is required.
• Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours.
• Previous detailing experience preferred but not essential.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Must pass a Medical including Drug & Alcohol testing.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Physically capable of a hands-on role, including lifting.

Responsibilities

• Detail and clean earthmoving equipment to standards and schedules.
• Identify and communicate equipment issues to supervisor.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Assist tradespeople with various tasks as needed.

About the Role

As a Detailer, you will play an important role in helping establish our new Broken Hill branch and ensuring our equipment is maintained and presented to a high standard.

This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working around heavy machinery and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

Your Responsibilities:

• Detail and clean earthmoving equipment to meet required standards within tight schedules

• Identify and communicate any equipment issues to your supervisor

• Ensure all tools and equipment are well‑maintained and in good working order

• Assist tradesmen with various tasks as needed

Requirements:
