Job summary

Kinrise is a growing Australian food manufacturer based in Hallam. We are seeking a Despatch Supervisor to lead our outbound despatch team, work with transport providers, and uphold safety and service standards.

You will oversee scheduling, DIFOT targets, and coaching of Warehouse Operators, drawing on five+ years supervisory experience in food warehousing, with a forklift license.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of despatch/warehouse supervision in food industry.
• Forklift licence with high reach forklift experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee despatch, handling and distribution of outbound orders.
• Manage staffing levels and workloads to optimise efficiency.
• Build relationships with transport providers and customers.
• Lead, coach and develop warehouse operators.
• Meet Delivery In Full and On Time targets (DIFOT).
• Ensure compliance with OHS, CoR, HACCP and all food safety legislation.
• Escalate and resolve operational issues to maintain service standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across warehouse and despatch operations.

Are you ready to step up in your career and play a key role in our fast-paced baking operation? We are seeking a dynamic Despatch Supervisor to join our Kinrise Baking Team in Hallam. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, youll oversee the outbound despatch function, drive workplace safety, and deliver exceptional service to our valued customers.

About The Opportunity

As our Despatch Supervisor, youll lead a close-knit team of Warehouse Operators and work hand-in-hand with transport providers to ensure our delicious cakes reach customers efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the despatch, handling, and distribution of all outbound orders
• Manage staffing levels and workloads to optimise operational efficiency
• Build strong relationships with transport providers and customers
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse operators.
• Meet targets for Delivery In Full and On Time (DIFOT).
• Ensure compliance with OHS, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), HACCP, and all people and food safety legislation
• Escalate and resolve operational issues quickly to maintain service standards
• Drive continuous improvement across warehouse and despatch operations

About You

You hold a valid forklift license and bring over five years of experience operating high reach forklifts in despatch or warehouse settings within the food industry. Your background includes leadership positions such as Team Leader or Supervisor, where you have successfully coached and developed diverse warehouse or despatch teams. You demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to motivate, influence, and resolve issues effectively in fast-paced environments.

Your excellent time management and organisational capabilities are complemented by an understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements. You have a strong food and people safety mindset, with proven experience in adhering to safety compliance standards and HACCP, leading by example.

Relevant qualifications in warehousing or distribution are considered advantageous as would previous SAP experience.
