Job summary

AirSWIFT in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Designer/Drafter to join our electrical team on a mix of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

You will develop detailed electrical designs and construction drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and BIM platforms, collaborating with engineers and project teams.

Qualifications

• Electrical design experience is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Attention to detail and producing high-quality technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Producing and modifying electrical designs to support project delivery requirements.
• Preparing detailed construction and installation drawings using AutoCAD and related design software.
• Developing and maintaining accurate project documentation throughout all stages of delivery.
• Working closely with engineering and project teams to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and buildable.
• Assisting with design reviews, coordination activities, and project planning.
• Managing drawing revisions and document control processes.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure project requirements are captured and met.
• Providing drafting and design support across multiple concurrent projects.
• Contributing to ongoing improvements in drafting standards and design methodologies.

An established and growing electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Designer / Drafter to join its Brisbane team. With a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across Queensland, this is an opportunity to work on technically challenging projects from concept through to delivery.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, and construction teams, producing high-quality electrical designs and documentation that contribute directly to successful project outcomes.

Whether you’re coming from an electrical contracting, utilities, building services, or industrial background, this role offers genuine variety, long-term stability, and exposure to modern design technologies.

Key responsibilities:
