Job summary

Burgmann Anglican School is seeking a Part Time – Term Time role at the Forde Campus to support the Design and Technology and Art areas. You will prepare materials, maintain equipment, manage orders, and assist students under supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, record-keeping, and adherence to Work Health and Safety policies, with OnGuard training requirements and a potential for flexible involvement across term time.

Qualifications

• Qualification and/or significant experience in a school workshop setting.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain appropriate records.
• Understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation in a school workshop setting.
• Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration.
• Current first aid certificate or ability to gain the qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and breakdown materials for the DT and Art areas.
• Maintain and report on equipment; organise materials and storage.
• Order materials online and by phone.
• Provide general assistance during classes and help students with minor problems.
• Assist in developing OH&S policies and resources for the design area.
• Ensure OnGuard safety training is completed by staff and students.
• Maintain a clean work area and undertake other duties as directed.
