Breathe are looking for a Design Project Architect in a key role, leading exciting projects and contributing to our studios design design excellence.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding all-round design abilities, as well as confident interpersonal and communication skills, who enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic studio environment.

The successful applicant will be able to design and document their own projects, as well as have an enthusiastic and creative approach to sustainable design. We are looking for someone with local experience working as the lead in project delivery, consultant coordination, and detailing and documentation on complex residential and commercial projects.

The Breathe team work incredibly hard and collaboratively on projects that are focused on social and environmental sustainability. We are relentless and always strive for the most meaningful solution.

Key responsibilities

·Lead and coordinate the design and documentation of multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment

·Respond to complex issues with innovative solutions in a collaborative approach

·Deliver projects on time and on budget

·Willingness to lead and mentor emerging designers

·Effectively manage clients, consultants and technical specialists

·Ensure design integrity and intent are maintained throughout all phases.

·Encourage better design and sustainability outcomes for all projects

Skills and experience

·Minimum 5+ years full-time post-graduate experience

·Experience across a range of project typologies (commercial and multi-res preferred)

·Proven ability to lead multiple projects at once and work collaboratively in a design team

·A strong portfolio with proven concept design to construction documentation

·Contract administration and site experience

·A solid understanding of BCA and Australian standards

·Capable of working in a collaborating team environment

·Proficiency in ArchiCAD gained in professional practice (or a willingness to upskill prior to commencement)

·Self-motivated, with effective time management skills

·Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
