Job summary

The Talent Initiative is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Melbourne to oversee a critical Fundraising CRM and Marketing Automation initiative. You will lead the implementation of Microsoft-based solutions, enhancing stakeholder engagement and fundraising efforts in the not-for-profit sector. This is a high-visibility position that requires strong leadership and collaboration skills, along with proven experience in managing complex CRM projects.

The Talent Initiative is to bring this Senior Project Manager role to our Melbourne market. If you have a passion for delivering complex CRM and marketing automation projects, especially on the Microsoft tech stack, and want to make a real impact in the NFP sector, this could be your next big move.

About the Role:

You’ll be the driving force behind a critical Fundraising CRM Marketing Automation initiative, leading the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft-based solutions (think Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure) that will transform stakeholder engagement and fundraising success. This is a high-visibility project where your leadership, strategic mindset, and collaborative approach will make a genuine difference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the full CRM implementation lifecycle, ensuring alignment with strategic organisational goals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, driving consensus and delivery across all project phases.
• Produce and present high-quality executive reports and presentations for senior leadership and board stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain robust project governance, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee application development, customisation, and integrations within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, fundraising, marketing, operations) for seamless and timely project delivery.
• Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure projects stay on track and within scope.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience delivering CRM projects (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365) from inception to completion.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills at all levels.
• Expertise in executive-level reporting, performance dashboards, and financial updates.
• Experience managing vendors and service-level agreements.
• Technical know-how across Microsoft technologies (Power BI, SharePoint, Azure).
• Leadership skills with a focus on collaboration, change management, and continuous improvement.
