Hkrp in Brisbane, Australia, seeks a Senior Signalling Designer to provide high-quality signalling design and engineering assurance across a diverse rail portfolio. You will lead technical design, assurance, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle from concept to delivery.

You will bring 10+ years in railway signal design, plus experience with Queensland Rail, RPEQ accreditation, and potentially Chartered Engineer status.

• 10+ years of railway signal design experience with 2+ years with Queensland Rail.
• A thorough understanding of the typical engineering management, project development and implementation lifecycles.
• Exceptional written and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop documentation and manage stakeholder requirements.
• Mentor and support the development of engineers within the team.

Reporting to the Head of engineering the Senior Signalling Designer to provide high‑quality signalling design and engineering assurance services across a diverse portfolio of rail projects supported by our team.

Country: AU

Location: Brisbane, Australia

• Candidates must have full Australian work rights
• Brisbane‑based candidates only

Type of Contract: Permanent or Casual

Level of experience: 10+ years

About role:

You will provide technical expertise, leading development and assurance of high-quality signalling solutions. This role combines technical design expertise, project coordination and stakeholder engagement working across project lifecycle. You will lead and manage design quality, complex technical problems, type approvals and support delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver safe, compliant, and commercially effective signalling engineering solutions across a portfolio of rail projects.
