Job summary

RMK Precast in Unanderra is seeking a Design Coordinator with strong attention to detail to integrate design and cost planning across precast projects.

You will coordinate design teams, consultants and subcontractors, manage design registers, reports and shop drawings, and ensure solutions comply with budgets, programs and the Building Code of Australia, while developing your design career within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Self-driven with ability to manage multiple projects at various stages and with extensive design teams and stakeholders.
• Have a competent and developing level of planning, organization, and delegation ability.
• Demonstrate creative problem solving and decision-making ability.
• Have a good level understanding of design practices.
• Have strong communication skills with an ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
• Hold tertiary qualifications in Design or Construction and proven experience working in a similar role within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Implement documentation reviews, collation, document control and management.
• Assist with the management and co-ordination of Consultants and Sub-contractors, project wide including implementing requested requirements into the project.
• Assist the team with production of all Design Registers, Reports, Schedules.
• Assist team with project design stage deliverable submissions, in accordance with Consultant Design Drawings.
• Manage and assist with Sub contractors design and shop drawing production.
• Assist in the coordination of the design process and ensure compliance with budget, programmes, Approvals, Building Code of Australia (BCA)/ and other legislative requirements and clients’ requirement.
• Liaise in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders during the course of the project

About the Role

RMK Precast have a position available for a Design Coordinator to join our team based in Unanderra. The Design Co-Ordinator will be overseeing the integration of design and cost planning functions throughout the pre-manufacture and delivery phases of projects.

Day to Day responsibilities

• Implement documentation reviews, collation, document control and management
• Assist with the management and co-ordination of Consultants and Sub-contractors, project wide including implementing requested requirements into the project.

About You
