Job summary

Auscast Constructions in Melbourne-based precast specialist is seeking a hands-on Project/Production Manager to join our Dandenong South team. The role blends production planning, administration and customer liaison to move projects from drawings and work orders through to manufacture and delivery.

You will work closely with our factory team, customers and management, oversee production from drawings to manufacturing, maintain production databases and project records, and ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Precast Concrete, Civil Construction industry or Construction Management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.
• Strong organisational skills; able to prioritise tasks and meet project lead times and production targets.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Due to continued growth, Auscast Constructions is seeking a hands-on Project/Production Manager to join our precast manufacturing team in Dandenong South.

This is a varied role combining production planning, administration and customer liaison. You'll work closely with our factory team, customers and management to ensure projects move smoothly from drawings and work orders through to manufacture and delivery.

This is a permanent full time position, Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday depending on work flow with salary package based on experience.

As our Project Manager you will be expected to carry out duties such as (but not limited to):

Liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth supply of custom precast products to customers;

Oversee all aspects of production from reading drawings through to the production phase;

Link the planning of work orders to ensure the production phase occurs smoothly with the production team at our manufacturing facility (there is no on-site work);

Maintain and manage production databases, work orders, schedules and project records, ensuring information remains accurate, current and accessible to support manufacturing and delivery activities.

Monitor production progress and update internal systems to provide real-time visibility of project status and delivery schedules.

Develop specifications for production and determining required materials from drawings.

Client Liaison: Communicate with clients regarding deadlines to ensure satisfaction and timely completion of projects.

We've experienced significant growth recently and with a healthy forward order book, we're now looking for pro-active team member who can be an integral part of the Auscast Constructions Precast team.

The successful applicant must be hands-on,reliable and have an enthusiastic approach to their work with safety always top of mind.

A solid attention to detail and willingness to lead all facets of supervising production between our customers and our teams, ensuring a smooth and on-time workflow from purchase order to delivery.

Ideally you will have:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Precast Concrete, Civil Constructionindustry or Construction Management experience;

Ability to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities simultaneously.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Ability to perform autonomously & collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a strong willingness to learn, develop, and excel within the industry.

Previous experience within a construction, concreting, manufacturing, or precast environment is preferred, along with a sound understanding of the precast concrete industry.
