Job summary

Lowes Petroleum in regional Australia seeks a Depot Operations Manager for the Quilpie Depot. You will oversee safe, reliable day-to-day operations, staff supervision, stock reconciliation, and logistics coordination to support our bulk fuel network.

You will lead a small team, ensure compliance with Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while delivering exceptional service to customers in a rural community.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy vehicle and/or fuel industry is advantageous.
• Understanding of Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Quality Assurance and Chain of Responsibility legislation.
• Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Confident decision-maker with ability to work autonomously and lead a team.
• Well-developed organisational, problem solving and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily operational management & supervision of depot staff including recruitment, training, and performance management
• Responsible for administration and reconciliation of stock
• Collaborating with other departments to coordinate logistics, transportation, and delivery schedules
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Comply with all external regulatory requirements - including BFM
• Handling customer enquiries, issues, and complaints in a professional manner

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this position will be accountable for the safe and reliable day to day operational management of the Quilpie Depot.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily operational management & supervision of depot staff including recruitment, training, and performance management

The successful applicant will require

• Previous experience in heavy vehicle &/or fuel industry an advantage
