Job summary

Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking an Inventory Purchasing Officer for the Depot Services division in Moree. You will maintain stock levels, raise purchase orders, reconcile accounts and ensure workplace safety while supporting efficient operations at the Tycannah Street Works Depot.

You will hold a Certificate III Procurement or equivalent, operate stock systems, and hold a Class C licence, White Card and Forklift licence.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Procurement or equivalent with procurement/retail experience.
• Experience using computerised stock or purchasing systems.
• Current Class C Licence, White Card, and High Risk Work Licence for Forklift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock register and ensure paperwork is completed correctly.
• Raise purchase orders and complete account reconciliations.
• Undertake heavy manual handling tasks and assist with stock control.
• Input daily and weekly plant running sheets and monitor wastage/loss.
• Ensure work and storage areas meet Work Health and Safety standards.
