Job summary

Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking an Inventory Purchasing Officer for the Depot Services division in Moree. You will maintain stock levels, manage purchase orders, and ensure accurate stock records to support efficient procurement processes.

The role requires experience with stock systems, a Certificate III in Procurement, and a forklift licence. Casual, as-needed hours with loading under the NSW Local Government Award.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Procurement or similar industry discipline and experience in procurement or retail services.
• Proven computer literacy with experience using computerised stock systems or purchasing systems.
• A current Class C Drivers Licence and a General Construction Induction White Card.
• A High Risk Work Licence for Forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock register and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
• Raise purchase orders and complete account reconciliation.
• Undertake heavy manual handling tasks and assist with stock control.
• Input daily and weekly plant running sheets; monitor wastage and loss.
• Ensure work and storage areas meet Work Health and Safety standards.
