Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager to run daily operations, sales and stock management in a high-volume department. You will lead a team of 20+ people, train and develop staff, and partner with Service and Merchandising teams to deliver the Best Experience and the Widest Range.

You will monitor customer service, manage rosters including weekends, ensure safety compliance, and drive performance using KPIs.

• Demonstrated leadership of large teams in retail or high-volume environments.
• Strong coaching, feedback and performance management capabilities.
• Commitment to safety, wellbeing and compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to deliver best customer experience and safe operations.
• Oversee duty manager responsibilities including opening/closing across weekdays and weekends.
• Drive merchandising excellence and monitor key performance metrics to grow department sales.
• Respond to customer feedback and enhance end-to-end customer experience.
• Own stock accuracy, replenishment, adjustments and loss prevention.
