Job summary

Bunnings Group is seeking a Department Manager to oversee daily operations, sales and high-volume stock within a specialist area. You will lead a 20+ team, drive Best Experience and safety culture, and report to the Operations/Complex Managers.

You will roster, train and develop staff, ensure stock accuracy, and collaborate with merchandising and health & safety teams to deliver outstanding customer service across a busy store.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a large team in a high-volume retail environment.
• Proven ability to drive safety, culture and compliance across a department.
• Strong merchandising, stock accuracy and loss-prevention fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 20+ to deliver Best Experience and safety culture.
• Plan rosters and manage workforce to ensure service promises are met.
• Open/close the store and support weekday/weekend trade.
• Drive department sales through merchandising and KPI monitoring.
• Maintain stock accuracy, replenishment discipline and loss prevention.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Store Leadership and Health & Safety teams.
