Job summary

Bunnings Warehouse Australia is looking for a Department Manager to lead daily operations, sales and high‑volume stock management within your specialist area. You and your team of 20+ will drive the Best Experience for customers, train staff and partner with Service, Inside the Home, Builders and Lifestyles & Garden teams under the Operations and Complex Managers.

You will monitor customer service levels, work with Merchandising, Store Leadership and Health & Safety, build strong supplier

Qualifications

• Leads with strong leadership and influences stakeholders while focusing on safety and wellbeing.
• Understands KPIs and strives to exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to manage large teams and coordinate across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged and safe work environment, while also performing duty manager responsibilities, including opening and closing the store across weekdays and weekends.
• Build team capability on Best Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance. Including team engagement, performance management and recognition.
• Rostering and strategic planning for your team to deliver on our service promise. Driving department sales through strong merchandising & monitoring of key metrics.
• Action customer feedback to improve the end-to-end customer experience
• Own department stock accuracy including adjustments, replenishment discipline and loss prevention processes.
