Job summary

Q-Lab Dental is seeking a proactive Business Operations Manager to lead our operational, administrative and production systems in Perth. You will drive efficiency, schedule production, allocate resources and align lab output with strategic goals.

You’ll manage rosters, training and performance, partner with Aria Group leaders and clinicians, monitor budgets and KPI reporting, and push digital workflows and CAD/CAM processes to ensure on-time, high-quality restorations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations, production, or business management within dental laboratory, healthcare manufacturing, or precision production.
• Strong budgeting and KPI reporting skills to drive financial and operational performance.
• Experience implementing systems, workflows, and scheduling tools that improve efficiency.
• Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary or technical teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across clinical and commercial settings.
• Familiarity with digital workflows and CAD/CAM production processes (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day laboratory operations, production scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Implement and refine workflows, digital systems, and process improvements for efficiency and cost control.
• Manage staff rosters, training, and performance, fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Partner with leadership and clinicians to align output with strategic and financial objectives.
• Monitor budgets, analyse productivity and material usage, and prepare management reports.
• Coordinate procurement, stock control, and supplier relationships for production continuity.
• Lead internal communication between technicians, clinicians, and customer service to meet deadlines.
• Support new business initiatives, including expanding external lab work and building commercial relationships.
