Job summary

Quality Dental Care Group is seeking an experienced Clinical Coordinator or Senior Dental Assistant to lead our 7-chair clinic. You will own clinical operations, develop the assisting team, and drive consistent patient care across the practice.

Working with the Practice Manager, you’ll implement standards, schedules, and SOPs while building a collaborative team culture. Full-time preferred, part-time 4 days/week considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a dental practice in a dental assistant or clinical coordinator role.
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or above, or equivalent clinical qualification.
• Strong knowledge of dental practice operations – workflows, chair management, appointment scheduling and team roles.
• Proven ability to lead, support and develop a team in a clinical environment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to juggle priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the daily flow of the clinic team, including breaks, staff cover and clinical operations.
• Acting as the escalation point for complex booking queries, scheduling conflicts and urgent appointments.
• Monitoring wait times, appointment availability and booking trends, and reporting on utilisation and capacity.
• Coordinating stock and supplies for the clinical team.
• Providing day-to-day leadership and support to our dental assistants.
• Leading the induction and onboarding of new clinical support staff.
• Identifying and addressing training and development needs across the team.
• Championing our clinical standards, infection control protocols and workplace policies.
• Owning the development and review of clinical procedures, workflows and SOPs.
• Identifying operational inefficiencies and contributing to improvements across the practice.
• Act in the Practice Manager role during periods of leave.
