Qualifikationen

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential.
• A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of addressing patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Aufgaben

• Patient care: greet patients, prepare them for procedures and ensure comfort.
• Clinical support: prepare/sterilise instruments and assist during procedures.
• Inventory: monitor supplies and keep treatment room stocked.
• Patient education: give post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene tips.
• Team collaboration: work with dentists and staff for smooth workflow.
• Compliance: follow infection control protocols and regulatory requirements.

Totally Smiles Morningside is currently seeking an experienced casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team in a dual role. We are a warm, family-oriented two-surgery practice with a welcoming, close-knit environment, offering a range of treatments from general through to cosmetic dentistry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
• Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
• Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
• Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
• Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.
