Job summary

Smiles Eastgardens is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for a part-time position. The practice is a modern, cosy three-chair setting with a patient-focused approach and a broad range of services from general check-ups to cosmetic treatments.

You will support patient care, prepare for procedures, sterilise instruments, and help maintain a safe, efficient clinical area while collaborating with dentists, hygienists, and staff. Shifts run Monday to Friday with two Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential.
• A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient management, including greeting patients and preparing for procedures.
• Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and assist the dentist during examinations.
• Maintain a clean and organised treatment area and monitor inventory.
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols and regulatory requirements.

About Smiles Eastgardens is currently looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a part time basis, with shifts available Monday through Friday plus two Saturdays a month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
• Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
• Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
• Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.
