Totally Smiles Pakenham is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our welcoming team on a full-time basis. We are open Monday to Saturday, with shifts rostered across these days in our modern 4-chair practice.

Join our patient-centered team delivering high-quality dental care. Prior experience is essential, and a Cert III/IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory. Excellent communication and accuracy are required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient management and ensure comfort.

Totally Smiles Pakenham is currently seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our welcoming team on a full-time basis. We are open Monday to Saturday, so shifts will be rostered across these days. Join our supportive and friendly team, where we offer a wide range of general and cosmetic treatments in our modern 4-chair practice. Our dentists and team are highly patient-focused, ensuring the highest quality treatments and patient-centred care are delivered every time. Conveniently located in the heart of Pakenham, we are close to local shops and cafes, making it a great place to work.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
• Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
• Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
• Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
• Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What Do You Need To Succeed
