Responsibilities

• Assist our dental practitioners chair-side with general and surgical procedures.
• Ensure instruments and equipment are prepared and available.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team in a permanent part-time role, Wednesday 8am to 5.15pm & Friday 8am to 3.15pm, availability to provide additional cover during periods of staff leave would be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will be well organised, punctual and eager to learn and follow our clinical processes. They will have experience across most general aspects of dental assisting and bring a positive, reliable approach to supporting both patients and the clinical team. The right candidate will:

• - Have a passion for patient care and an empathetic nature
• - Possess previous experience in a dental setting, with hands-on involvement in clinical procedures and infection control practices
• - Be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure all equipment and instruments are ready for procedures
• - Have strong communication skills to interact effectively with both patients and the dental team
• - Stay proactive, anticipating the needs of the dentist and taking initiative without needing to be asked
• - Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of the role, from assisting with procedures to handling patient records

Key responsibilities for this role include:
