Job summary

A specialist periodontal clinic in Western Australia is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join their professional team. The role involves assisting clinicians during procedures, managing instrument sterilisation, and performing administrative duties. With a focus on providing high-quality patient care, this part-time position offers a supportive environment and the opportunity to grow within the field. Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, and a Cert IV in Dental Assisting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience – 2 years or more or Cert IV in Dental Assisting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clinicians during periodontal procedures.
• Preparation and sterilisation of instruments and treatment rooms.
• Completion of 1-2 hours of administrative duties per day.
• Supporting patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience
• Completion of 1-2 hours of administrative duties per day, to support front desk. This will include, Greeting and checking patients into the clinic, out of the clinic, processing accounts and scheduling appointments

About the role:

• Assisting clinicians during periodontal procedures, preparation and sterilisation of instruments and treatment rooms
• Surgical based periodontists and laser treatments, full training provided for surgical assisting
• Regular GA sessions
• Supporting patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience
• Completion of 1-2 hours of administrative duties per day, to support front desk. This will include, Greeting and checking patients into the clinic, out of the clinic, processing accounts and scheduling appointments

About you:

• Previous dental assisting experience – 2 years or more or Cert IV in Dental Assisting. Qualification preferred but not essential
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Professional, reliable and team‑oriented
• Positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn and grow within a specialist environment
