Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort in New South Wales is seeking a skilled Demi Chef to join our kitchen on a casual basis. The role supports food preparation, cooking and presentation, delivering a high-quality dining experience for guests.

We offer shifts across Monday to Sunday, with potential part-time or full-time options, and a rotating roster. Competitive hourly rates listed, with a focus on teamwork and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef or similar kitchen role.
• Australian cookery qualification (Certificate III) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, preparation, and plating.
• Understanding of HACCP, OH&S, and kitchen hygiene requirements.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible to work across weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to menu standards.
• Assist with plating and presentation of meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety and WHS standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen team for efficient service.
• Mentor junior kitchen staff when required.
• Contribute to menu planning and kitchen efficiency.
